Included in this edition:

COG-SHARING SPACE
It's been six years since the emergence of Bondi trio COG's acclaimed debut EP 'Just Visiting' and with ensuing releases, the band has continued to push the envelope with their exploratory heavy rock sound. Try as they may to play down the prog rock tag that has been bestowed upon them, COG's new album 'Sharing Space', featuring epic tracks that run way past the three and a half minute pop sign post and don't conform to the standard song structure, will do nothing to douse the fire of those who need to pigeonhole bands. Call it what you like, but in reality it's the sound of a band being brash, brave and ultimately bloody good. Australian Musician's Reza Nasseri sat down for a chat with Flynn Gower, Luke Gower and Lucius Borich at sound check in the midst of their national Sharing Space tour.

KASEY CHAMBERS & SHANE NICHOLSON
The penny finally drops for husband and wife team Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson. They both sing, write and perform .. why not record together? Greg Phillips speaks to the pair about their new album 'Rattlin' Bones'.

EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING
That Eddy Current Suppression Ring managed to record their debut album in one four-hour sitting for a meagre $250 says much about the Melbourne rockers’ no frills approach. Whipped up during a lunchtime session in 2006 the self-titled record has since been showered with critical bouquets for its blend of simplicity and manic energy. Two years on, the quartet return with the similarly bare-boned Primary Colours. BY STEVE TAUSCHKE

TRIAL KENNEDY
Trial Kennedy recorded their debut album New Manic Art in the US after signing to Sony/ BMG. Australian Musician’s James O’Toole spoke to guitarist Stacey Gray about recording the album in Atlanta with Nick Didia.

JEFF LANG
Singer songwriter and damn fine guitarist Jeff Lang has released yet another quality album. This one is called 'Half Seas Over'. Greg Phillips sat down with Jeff to discuss the new disc.

THE OFFSPRING
It had been a while, but Southern Californian punk rock giants The Offspring returned to our shores to headline Soundwave 2008. Reza Nasseri had the pleasure of chatting with front-man Dexter Holland and bassist Greg Kriesel.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE
Killswitch Engage were back in Australia to pulverize this year's Soundwave festival with another series of fun yet brutal performances. Reza Nasseri got to hang with 50% of the guitar line-up and pick Joel Stroezel’s metal psyche. (Warning: The following interview contains terminology that goes beyond the realm of English into what I refer to as “Ginglish” a.k.a. “Guitar-speak”).

THE AUDREYS TOUR DIARY
In May this year, The Audreys took off on their "When The Flood Comes" national tour. Guitarist Tristan was kind enough to document the first week in an exclusive tour diary for Australian Musician

PORCUPINE TREE
After two decades producing classy progressive rock, UK's Porcupine Tree finally made it to Australia. Jason McNamara sat them down for a chat.

THE LIVING END-CHRIS CHENEY ON HIS NEW SIGNATURE GRETSCH GUITAR
In Gretsch's 125th anniversary year, the company chose to honour The Living End's amazing guitarist Chris Cheney by creating his own production line signature model Gretsch guitar. Greg Phillips spoke to Chris about the guitar and the new Living End album 'White Noise'. He also spoke to Gretsch's Mike Lewis
