The Autumn 2003 edition of Australian Musician included:

SNEAK - With a respectful nod to the thunderous, emotion-charged classic sounds of rock greats Queen and Led Zeppelin, Melbourne five piece outfit Sneak are firmly rooted in the fuss-free, organic energy of rock ‘n’ roll as we’ve always liked it.

JERK - 'I Hate People Like That' was the first major label single from Sydney-siders JERK released late last year. With their debut album now out as you read this, it’s likely that we will certainly be hearing a lot more from them for a long time to come.

THE CASANOVAS - Melbourne three piece The Casanovas' retro-powerchords are making waves abroad as Steve Tauschke discovers from singer/guitarist Tommy Love.

STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN - Jimi "The Human" Hocking examines Stevie Ray Vaughan's great guitar tone!

CHARLTON HILL - Growing up performing on the northern beaches of Sydney, with a "hand me down" guitar, Charlton spent his youth on surf trips up the coast playing around the campfire for his friends. He soon realised that his songs were a lot more inspirational than his skills on a surf- board.

MURDERDOLLS - Murderdolls combine liberal doses of old school glam rock and a sense of fun with lyrics and imagery inspired by trashy B grade horror films in a mix which has seen their debut album Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls generate a lot of interest and win many new fans.

BERNIE TORMÉ - Mention the name Bernie Tormé in guitar nerd circles and you often get the kind of reverence often reserved for the likes of Hendrix, Clapton, Beck. The guy has a serious reputation amongst those who seek out pure, improvisational guitar for its own sake.

Gear road tested in the current edition includes:
