Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones talks solo with Australian Musician
It was full circle for John Paul Jones when he launched his solo tour at the San Francisco Fillmore on a breezy Thursday night. It was in such venues where Led Zeppelin began their assault on the U.S. Jones' acclaimed solo album Zooma contains many Zep reference points. But as he says firmly, he wasn't trying to recreate the sound, he was an important quarter of that great band. "In some moments, I contributed more than a quarter," he points out.
