Included in this edition:

KISS AND THE MELBOURNE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA -  It wasn't the first time a rock band had shared a stage with classically trained musicians, but the teaming of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with American rock legends Kiss at Melbourne's Telstra Dome in February 2003 had to be the most mutually satisfying for all involved.

SPEEDSTAR - Maybe it has something to do with Brisbane's water supply? The sunshine city just keeps offering up bands featuring amazingly talented musicians. One of them, Speedstar, has just released their new album "Forget the Sun, Just Hold On", a disc which saw band members eagerly volunteering to lay down tracks, no matter which specific instrumental skill the producer was looking for.

ESKIMO JOE - Eskimo Joe know how to construct a pop song. Seamless tunes featuring luscious melodies and unforgettable hooks flow with ease from their second album "A Song Is A City". Australian Musician's Greg Phillips recently spoke to main songwriter, vocalist and bass player Kav Temperley about how it all came together.

TROY CASSAR DALEY - Troy Cassar Daley has plenty to talk about. Since he last spoke with this magazine, he has joined a new record company, employed new management, had a TCD signature model guitar released by Takamine, and most importantly, become a father. He's also just released another album.

MOOG's 50th ANNIVERSARY BASH - "In 1954 Bob Moog put together the first synthesizer as we have come to understand them today. (Thus 2004 being the 50th anniversary). Bob Moog is also 75 this year." Rick Wakeman reports exclusively for Australian Musician!

WOMEN IN ROCK - Is the rock n’ roll road a more daunting journey for women than their male counterparts? Christie Eliezer investigates.
